A whole bunch rally At Michigan Capitol towards vaccine mandates

Hundreds of people gathered outside the Capitol on Friday afternoon to protest vaccination regulations.

Many cheered when rally organizer Pastor Jason Georges spoke out against vaccination requirements. He is a leader of Stand Up Michigan, a political group that also criticizes the wearing of masks and lockdown orders.

“You are here because you are against the government and academic institutions and corporations that are forcing you to inject something into your body against your will,” he said.

He said compulsory vaccination was against personal freedoms. “By prescribing the vaccine, the government believes it has more responsibility for your body than you do.”

President Joe Biden recently required civil federal employees to get vaccinated against the coronavirus or face tests and masking requirements. Grand Valley State University, Michigan State University, Wayne State University, and the University of Michigan all require vaccinations.

The U.S. Equal Opportunity Commission says employers can prescribe vaccines unless there is a conflicting disability or religious belief.
