Responsibilities:
The employee works as part of a two-person crew for emergency medical care and the transport of sick and injured patients in the preclinical environment. Tasks include ambulance operations, direct patient care, inventory and stocking of consumables, documentation and routine ward tasks. Heavy lifting is required regularly. The work schedule is 24 hours on duty / 72 hours off duty rotation schedule.

Qualifications:
• Graduated from high school with an emergency medical doctor certification from the NC Office of EMS and must be able to pass the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Service Paramedic Exam within 6 months of hiring;
• Or certified as a paramedic.
• Must have a valid NC driver’s license and have good driving experience.
