Gov. DeWine indicators payments into legislation

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKBN) – Ohio Governor Mike DeWine signed the following bills on Saturday.

House bill 67, sponsored by Representatives Tom Brinkman and Brigid Kelly, creates the Vet Student Debt Relief Program and provides veterinary training credits for free spay and neutral services.

House bill 136, sponsored by Representative Brett Hudson Hillyer, bans the death penalty if the perpetrator was mentally ill at the time of the offense.

House bill 150, sponsored by Representative Derek Merrin, is cutting taxes on new banks and mortgage lenders.

House bill 263, sponsored by Representative Kyle Koehler, revised the occupation license restrictions for ex-criminals.

House bill 264, sponsored by Representatives Shane Wilkin and Michael O’Brien, refinances loans for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

House bill 308, sponsored by Representative Tom Patton, addresses employee compensation and retirement for disability for PTSD.

House bill 431, sponsored by representatives Cindy Abrams and Rick Carfagna, creates the database on sexual exploitation.

House bill 436, sponsored by Representative Brian Baldridge, provides additional tools for screening and support for children with dyslexia.

House bill 444, sponsored by Representatives Brian Baldridge and Cindy Abrams, is revising Ohio township laws.

House bill 473, sponsored by former Representative J. Todd Smith, allows the state motto “With God all things are possible” to be used alongside the Ohio State Seal.

Senate Act 256, sponsored by Senator Nathan Manning and former Senator Peggy Lehner on the sentencing of offenders under the age of 18.

Senate Act 259, sponsored by Senator Vernon Sykes, approves the transfer of state-owned real estate.

Senate Act 260, sponsored by Senator Steve Huffman, studies abortion-inducing drugs.

Senate Act 312, sponsored by Senator Rob McColley, establishes the domestic relations division of the Hardin Court of Common Pleas.
