The combined Treasury impact due to Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief was estimated to be Rs.12,510.04 billion per year and Rs.14,595.04 billion per year for fiscal year 2020-21 (for a 14 month period from January 2020 to February 2021) Year fixed. The decision will benefit approximately 48.34 lakh central government employees and 65.26 lakh retirees.
