ADA, Part 504 coaching provided to campus supervisors | Nebraska Right this moment

Institutional Equity and Compliance provides campus supervisors with an opportunity to learn about the Americans with Disabilities Act and other laws / guidelines related to creating an accessible work environment for current employees and job applicants. The next meeting is on September 27th.

The free training workshop is led by Deb Huryta, THERE IS and Section 504 Compliance Officer, and Deanna Schuldeis, Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Specialist. They present information and answer questions about laws, definitions, accessibility when hiring, accessibility for current employees, how to deal with changing conditions and guidance on current procedures and guidelines.

The training, which lasts approximately 30 minutes, is available through Zoom. Registration is required (https://go.unl.edu/ada4supsreg).

Six sessions will be offered in the current academic year – 10 am September 27; 2.30 p.m. October 26; 9 a.m. November 17; 9:30 a.m. February 17; 1:30 p.m. March 23; and 10 a.m. April 21.

All graduates of the training receive a certificate of completion.
