Takes a bigger role in the company
Montgomery County-based law firm Andalman & Flynn, PC, is pleased to announce the addition of a new attorney to further expand its presence in the greater Washington, DC area. Matthew DeGioia has joined the firm’s growing disability services law firm, providing support to the family law practice group on estate planning, estate and estate administration, guardianship and other areas of civil litigation. Before Mr. DeGioia took on his new role, he was employed by the firm while studying law.
Mr. DeGioia takes a customer-centric approach to legal practice. As an avid advocate of the client, his measured and efficient display style maximizes the time and resources available. In his role at Andalman & Flynn, Mr. DeGioia will primarily specialize in disability social security benefits, FERS disability pension benefits, short term and long term disability insurance claims including ERISA litigation, and Maryland disability pension claims.
Born in Queens, New York, DeGioia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from George Washington University in Washington, DC, where he majored in religion with an emphasis on Jewish studies. He received his PhD from George Washington University School of Law, where he also served as Senior Managing Editor for the school’s Journal of Energy and Environmental Law.
“The legal acumen and enthusiastic customer representation that Mr. DeGioia has shown over the years is very impressive,” said Peter Casciano, Director of Andalman & Flynn. “He has been instrumental in our continued growth and we are delighted to have him in this new role at the company.”
