Chandigarh, Feb. 16 (PTI) Haryana Education Minister Kanwar Pal said Tuesday that special schools for disabled children are opening in the state.

“Separate special schools for disabled children are being opened in Haryana. In addition, studies in these schools offer these children suitable employment opportunities,” he was quoted in an official statement here.

The statement says that Pal is currently visiting Kerala.

“During his visit to Kerala, the Minister of Education learned of the efforts being made for the children with special skills in special schools that are being run for these children,” the Haryana government said in a statement.

Pal said the Haryana government is considering opening special schools for these children in the state now. For this, the state government also takes over the help of NGOs, he said.

He said efforts will also be made to make them efficient in various tasks, along with studies that will also provide them with employment opportunities. PTI SUN KJ
