MATAWAN – Joseph P. Costa and David B. Nathan announced a merger of their respective practices to expand services to the elderly in Central Jersey.
Her scope includes Medicaid planning and applications, wills and trusts, estate planning and administration, guardianship and veteran services.
With their main office in Matawan, the partners bring a fresh, unique approach to the area of older law, which they believe is more important than ever as the population ages and the cost of care continues to rise.
“Planning in times of uncertainty can be complicated and overwhelming for seniors and their families. Our job is to simplify the process by asking the right questions and providing straightforward advice without any fluff or legal jargon. Effective communication and accurate information are key to understanding your options and rights. “Costa said in a statement.
Costa and Nathan both attended the Rutgers School of Law and are accredited attorneys at the Department of Veterans Affairs. They are also active members of the Geriatric Advisory Board, a professional organization dedicated to providing urgently needed resources to seniors and their families.
Other organizations to which one or both partners belong include the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Elder & Disability Law Department of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Middlesex and Monmouth County Bar Associations, and the New York State Bar Association.
Nathan said in a statement, “We are people who happen to be lawyers and we care deeply about the families who have put their trust in us.”
