Notice is hereby given that the Washington County Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing at or after 9:15 a.m., Tuesday, December 15, 2020, in the County Board Room of the Washington County Government Center, located at 14949 62nd Street North, Stillwater, MN 55082, to receive public comment on Washington County’s 2021-2025 Capital Improvement Plan (the “CIP”). The CIP includes various capital facilities, highways, and parks projects to be initiated by Washington County during the years 2021-2025. A copy of the proposed CIP is on file and is available for review at www.co.washington.mn.us or at the Office of Administration in the Washington County Government Center.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Washington County Board of Commissioners will meet Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. in the Washington County Board Room (5th Floor) at 14949 62nd Street North, Stillwater, MN 55082 to consider the sale of 2.42 acres within Washington County Big Marine Park Reserve. The Big Marine Park Reserve was created to provide the public the ability to recreate outdoors in a natural resource setting. This particular 2.42 acre area was purchased in 1994 as part of a greater 130 acre parcel, however, the 2.42 acres is in-accessible to the main portion of the park reserve. It is landlocked by a wetland and drainage way on the northwest portion with Big Marine Lake on the eastern portion and private property on the southern portion.
Pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 398.32,subd. 5, the County Board after public hearing and notice given may dispose of park property acquired under or subject to the provisions of Minn. Stat. § 398.31- 398.36 that is no longer needed for the purposes thereof. The County Board may sell such parcel or interest upon such terms as it deems best in the public interest.

Have you purchased or moved into a property in the past year?
Contact your county assessor to file a homestead application if you or a qualifying relative occupy the property as a homestead on or before December 1, 2020.
What is a qualifying relative?
For agricultural property, a qualifying relative includes the child, grandchild, sibling, or parent of the owner or owner’s spouse.
For residential property a qualifying relative also includes the owner’s uncle, aunt, nephew, or niece.
When do I apply?
You must apply on or before December 15, 2020.
Once homestead is granted, annual applications are not necessary unless they are requested by the county assessor.
Contact the assessor by December 15, 2020 if the use of the property you own or occupy as a qualifying relative has changed during the past year.
If you sell, move, or for any reason no longer qualify for the homestead classification, you are required to notify the county assessor within 30 days of the change in homestead status.
