Uber Should Face Group’s Bias Swimsuit Over Lack of Wheelchair Entry

Uber Technologies Inc. is unable to shake a disability rights group’s lawsuit for systematically discriminating against Washington drivers who use non-foldable wheelchairs, a District of Columbia federal court said.

The Equal Rights Center has the right to sue on behalf of its members and has made plausible claims under the Americans With Disabilities Act and the DC Human Rights Act, said Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on Monday.
