A prominent Clare disability rights activist says primary medical certificates are vital to maintaining access for people in this county and elsewhere.
It comes, as the government has promised, to expedite applications for the documents that allow tax breaks for customized vehicles.
Processing of the applications did not resume until January after they were suspended following a decision by the Supreme Court last summer.
There are fears that there is still a significant backlog in the rating system, despite over 400 ratings in the past few weeks, and Ann Marie Flanagan of the Clare Leader Forum says this needs to be addressed urgently.
